Martin + Pegasus
Someone to Trust
Martin is one small law firm located in London. Pegasus is a division of Martin and is currently one of the most experienced PR agencies in the energy sector. Martin approached our design studio to build, and optimize two sites to represent both companies. Each site should be different and representative of the individual brands while sharing aesthetic similarities to facilitate users’ understanding each company falls under the same corporate umbrella.
A Balancing Act
Both Martin and Pegasus have differentiate audiences and messaging to reach their target markets. The client required that each website speak directly to its target audience while remaining recognizable as satellite divisions of a larger conglomerate. We designed and built a website to communicate Martin’s core values and range of services, and then re-skin the entire website, swap the messaging for Pegasus, and yet remain intuitive and easy to use.
Building the Framework
Our designers produced highly detailed wireframes and content architecture. It was crucial to test all content within both sites to ensure consistent navigation. After several internal revisions and some constructive client feedback, we finalized our blueprint for developing and optimizing both websites.
Influencing Design Direction
We worked with representatives from both Martin and Pegasus to establish unique and connected visual indicators of the site’s tone and feel. The chosen designs, shown here, directly influence design and content made throughout each company’s website and print collateral materials.
Martin Identity
Our goal was to reposition Martin’s identity. Working with modern typefaces we created an overall simplicity that gives the logo an inherent sense of loyalty yet paying homage to the traditions of the company while capturing Martin’s forward thinking mentality.
Pegasus Identity
To connect with younger audiences and the solid energy industry, an identity was needed to communicate a sense of wisdom and reliability. Simple and easily recognizable geometric shapes are used to create an identity that both stands alone and in perfect balance within the corporate umbrella.
The Result
The client was incredibly pleased with the results of this project. We accomplished our mission building two connected websites and identities that speak to disparate audiences.
